About the Show

Founded in 1966 by Don José Luis Nuñez de Prado, Los Gallos is one of Seville’s oldest tablaos and perhaps one of the best settings: a renovated historic home in the Plaza de Santa Cruz. The venue is small and elegant, and puts to use the rustic and traditional architecture of the original building as a backdrop for traditional flamenco performances. The establishment remains family owned and operated, as guests will note in the warm welcome they receive. The venue also offers bar service for those who wish to order a drink.

With a privileged location Los Gallos has and continues to attract some of the best talent on the flamenco circuit, providing a stage for recognized performers as well as new and promising talent. In over forty years the tablao has welcomed a long list of artists such as Merche Esmeralda, Cristina Hoyos, La Paquera de Jerez, Manolo Marin, Farruco, Matilde Coral Chocolate, Naranjito de Triana and many more. And over this same time Los Gallos has maintained a strict dedication to pure and traditional flamenco.

Restoration work has converted the home into a unique, intimate and comfortable venue for flamenco performances. The live flamenco shows do not make use of any sound amplification devices such as microphones or speakers. Instead, the acoustics of the building highlight the natural and pure talents of the artists.

Reviews

Visiting Los Gallos in Seville was a mesmerizing experience. The show, lasting one hour and 25 minutes, captivated the audience from start to finish. The dancers' energy was infectious, drawing everyone into the passionate world of flamenco. Their performances were not just about dance; they conveyed deep emotions that moved the spectators profoundly. The ambiance was lively and inviting, making it easy to get lost in the rhythm and spirit of the performance. The service was exceptional, with drinks being served throughout the show, adding to the overall enjoyment. Los Gallos truly offers a blend of culture, entertainment, and hospitality that leaves a lasting impression.
The passionate tap and flamenco were amazing, and I was especially overwhelmed by the sweaty dancing and eye power of the two women. The male vocalist seemed to have a bit of a cold and wasn't at his best, but there was also a flamenco guitar solo, which was very enjoyable. The venue is small, so we recommend securing a good seat early. Well worth the cost. Previously, one drink was included, but now there is a charge of 5 euros per drink.
Pure class dedicated performance by great artists! You know it when musicians love to play and dancers love to dance: TOP!
The show overall isn’t bad. It’s a nice thing to see and do, but sometimes is rather ‘shouty’. My main reason for 3/5 though is the seating. You’re packed in like sardines. There is nowhere to move. It’s like primary school seating. The people next to us were encroaching on our seats leaving very little room. If you’re taller than 5ft8 or heavier than 10stone I’d avoid - there simply isn’t space. Glad I saw it, but would I go again? No It’s a shame as it really could be excellent if it was less crammed in.
Fantastic show in intimate surroundings. Drinks are reasonably priced. The musicians and singers were amazing and the dancers were mesmerizing.
We had to see a flamenco show of course on a visit to Sevillie. This one was highly recommended on all the social media channels and we were not disappointed. It was exuberant, exhilarating and spectacular. A feast for the eyes and ears. Having seen a few other shows in Spain over the years though I felt that it was not as gritty as other shows and to a degree was playing to the tourist gallery. But nevertheless worth a visit.
